Tony has over 15 years global management experience in diverse industry sectors, most recently financial services and technology Fortune 100 companies, having also worked in business consulting, media, business education and nonprofits. Responsibilities have included business development, strategy, marketing, corporate relations, research, business and economic analyses, consumer engagement and organizational change. He is a self-starter, with demonstrated ability in initiating, managing and completing ventures and projects in ways that maximize their efficiency and returns. Colleagues and clients describe him as particularly methodical, analytical and thorough. And also as cheerful and upbeat, with an engaging sense of humor. He has frequently been credited with consistently maintaining an enthusiastic and dynamic workplace.
In the course of his career, Tony has developed business, economic and market intelligence solutions to support international business ventures and organizational change. He loves to have the data drive him in his analyses, and then effectively apply communication and presentation skills when designing and implementing solutions to solve complex business issues. He has achieved this with some accomplishment, being especially adept at presenting complex material in ways that are easy to understand. He possesses outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills, and is articulate and fluent.
International business, markets, economics, finance and international development are fond specialties; for example, his work on African economies and their markets was published in London, United Kingdom, and is currently a resource for companies in over 22 countries around the world, helping them make business decisions regarding that continent. That work is also used in several universities in the United States including Texas A&M (College Station, TX), Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) and University of Florida (Gainesville, FL).
Tony has been fortunate to see his analytical and intellectual competencies and business insights receive praise from prestigious institutions around the world, among them the Financial Times (United Kingdom), INSEAD (France), London Business School (United Kingdom), and The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (USA). These abilities have also been recognized through a variety of merit-based awards such as the Chevening Scholarship from the United Kingdom Government and the International Citizen Scholarship from HULT International Business School.
Tony has travelled extensively, and lived and worked in three continents: North America, Europe and Africa; he is culturally savvy, at home in different cultures and work environments; and has managed teams that included persons from five continents and varied backgrounds. His skills and experience are easily transferred across organizations and business sectors, and one of his favorite engagements is the process of learning everywhere he goes and from people he encounters; it keeps him refreshed and invigorated, and makes his work more effective and constantly cutting edge.
Multilingual, he speaks 5 languages including English and Spanish, has an MBA (IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain), a Masters in Economics (Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas), and a Bachelors in Engineering (University of Ibadan, Nigeria).
He currently lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Lisa (also proudly Aggie!).
