I have got over 15 years global experience in diverse industry sectors, the most recent being Financial Services in a Fortune 100 company, having also worked in consulting, non-profits, media and business education. Responsibilities have included business development, strategy, marketing, corporate relations, research, business and economic analyses, and organizational change. I am a self-starter, with demonstrated ability in initiating, managing and completing ventures and projects in ways that maximize their efficiency and returns. Colleagues and clients describe me as particularly methodical, analytical and thorough. And also as cheerful and upbeat, with an engaging sense of humor. I have frequently been credited with consistently maintaining an enthusiastic and dynamic workplace.
In the course of my career, I have developed business, economic and market intelligence solutions to support international business ventures and organizational change. I love to have the data drive me in my analyses, and then effectively apply communication and presentation skills when designing and implementing solutions to solve complex business issues. This I have achieved with some accomplishment, being especially adept at presenting complex material in ways that are easy to understand.
International development, markets, economics and finance are fond specialties for me; my work on African economies and their markets was published in London, United Kingdom, and is currently a resource for companies in over 22 countries around the world, helping them make business decisions regarding that continent. It is also used in several universities in the United States including Texas A&M (College Station, TX), Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) and University of Florida (Gainesville, FL).
I have been fortunate to see my analytical and intellectual competencies and business insights receive praise from prestigious institutions around the world, among them the Financial Times (United Kingdom), INSEAD (France), London Business School, and The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (USA). These abilities have also been recognized through a variety of merit-based awards such as The Chevening Scholarship from the United Kingdom Government and the International Citizen Scholarship from HULT International Business School.
I have lived and worked in three continents: North America, Europe and Africa; am culturally savvy, at home in different cultures and work environments; and have managed and been part of teams that included persons from five continents and varied backgrounds. My skills and experience are easily transferred across organizations and business sectors, one of my favorite engagements is the process of learning everywhere I go, and from everyone I encounter, it keeps me refreshed and invigorated, and makes my work more effective and constantly cutting edge.
